Taking stock
Good morning fellow blog readers! It has been quite some time since I last blogged here. This is mainly due to working commitments. If you've read my previous posts, you'll probably know that I'm doing a 3 month internal secondment in my company to another department. I foolishly chose the Quantity Surveying (QS) group, and I'm now regretting it. Basically, it's all about counting and measuring. Lots of counting and measuring of light fittings, sockets, cables and many more minute building elements. However, the good thing now is that I've already completed 2 months and 1 week of my secondment, leaving me just three weeks to go! (You can tell I'm keeping count of this) So once I've completed the secondment, I should have more time to do what I want, i.e. going out, socialising, relaxing, motorcycling, blogging....
On a totally separate matter, I helped a friend to paint a wall yesterday. Nothing fancy, just applying a normal coat of paint to a wall the size of roughly 5m lengthwise and 2m heightwise. And I found it hard work! I know I might be a softie but it was surprising how fast I tired out. My arm started aching just a couple of minutes into painting and I had to hold the roller brush with two hands towards the end as I could barely lift it! And it was also amazingly difficult to apply an even coat of paint. Ok...well the wall wasn't a smooth wall, it had a rough pitted surface, but still....I was very surprised by the difficulty of the task. I did complete the painting in the end, but the simple task had me humbled.
Anyway, we're now into the full swing of summer. And that means pleasant warm temperatures, plenty of sunshine, nice cool evenings, and yummy bbqs, and hot girls dressed in nothing much :-) Oh well, I'm such a pervert....

Oh how I wish she could help me paint the wall....
