Have you ever....

Phew! I'm taking a break from revision. I did some pen and thumb twiddling during my breaks, and the result is this poem. My very first stab at poetry. When someone like me starts writing poetry, the world is starting to turn in the opposite direction. You see what stress and thinking about your past and someone else can do to your mind.....

Have you ever?

Have you ever wondered why, humans were created?
Have you ever wondered why, the dead are sometimes cremated?
Have you ever wondered why, y has a long tail?
Have you ever wondered why, when we try so hard we sometimes fail?

Have you ever seen, the Northern aurora lights?
Have you ever seen, the devil dance in the pale moonlight?
Have you ever seen, on a brilliant night a shooting star?
Have you ever seen, someone you love, die in a car?

Have you ever been, too scared to stop a fight?
Have you ever been, too stubborn and then seen the light?
Have you ever been, in a fight and regret the words you said?
Have you ever been, so angry and stormed off really early to bed?

Have you ever felt, someone’s smile light up your face?
Have you ever felt, really happy when you’ve engaged in a long embrace?
Have you ever felt, betrayed by someone you love?
Have you ever felt, sadness caused by the one above?

Some of these questions are written, just to really confuse,
But all I’m trying to say is that, life is so obtuse.

And yes, I have done all the above.
So hold me tight, my love
.
So there you go. Right, back to revision.....
